Freshwater

Located in the wilds of Wyoming, the name Freshwater was chosen as a Western analogy to Christ. Just as He is the Living Water, and we must have Him to have eternal life, any desert dweller knows the importance of fresh water to life, both for self, and the nourishment of crops or livestock. By taking nourishment in God and His word, we strengthen our own relationship with Him, our faith, and the quality and abundance of our fruitfulness.

Our keystone verse is from Jeremiah, Chapter 17, Verse 8: "For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see whenSave heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit."

The fruit that we speak of is mentioned in Galatians 5:22
"22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."

And the heat could be anything we experience that might test our faith in God; trials and tribulations, relationships, anything that focuses our love and attention anywhere but on Him...

Teacher Togs Part Four

I have worn pants this week. The weather was a little cooler, and I thought I should probably wear some of the things sitting in my closet!

You're getting a bonus outfit this week, because while I know I wore jeans (new pair), my long sleeve school tshirt, and my school hoodie on Friday, I ended up with an extra outfit that I wore at some point, but don't remember when.

This daisy top I picked up at Kohl's, and I've paired it with black pants from Tribal. I really should have been sharing jewelry, because I have lots of fun with earrings. These are yellow flip flops, and then the love knot, which I wear daily, along with the bracelet. These pants aren't skinny, skinny,  but they do narrow in at the ankle, so I'm pretty sure I wore my burgundy flats from Spring Step and/or black sandals as my switch out pair (Croft and Barrow are the strappy, Merrill are the sporty).

This fabulous new tshirt garnered a ton of complimens, staff and students! It's Adore, from Fashion Crossroads Outlet, and it has sparkly beads on it! Tunic length, a little gathered at the bottom. I wore it with my new Tribal straight leg black pants from Fashion Crossroads and my colorful Danskos! I promise those pants were not that wrinkly on the day I wore them. The bottom picture is just out of the washer.

This dress? is a holdover from my Nadine West trial, and then the navy leggings are probably from Kohls. I wore this one with these adorable blue shoes with cats from Amazon, then switched to the blue sandals because as adorable as they are, the cats have absolutely no support, and even with inserts, I can only wear them for about an hour.

Those are grey Lee slacks from Kohls, boot cut, and a patchwork top that my mom gave me. I paired these with the peach cozy sweater, and I think my black Danskos.

Actually, I would normally pair this with these Danksos, but we had an evacuation drill that day and I thought I might end up having to run after squirrely students, so I wore my new Keens (no squirrels here, so it was a fantastic day!).

These are the Everywhere Pants by Zyia that I purchased at a friend's pop up party. They are comfy and soft, though I feel like they are a little tight in the leg. This is a tie tshirt I found on sale at Tractor Supply (hey, I will pick up something I like anywhere), and the cardigan I bougth awhile back at Kohls. I took a side picture because it has these cute "laces" up the side. For the life of me I cannot remember what shoes I paired with these, but they are gathered at the bottom like joggers, so I know it was a sandal or a slip on. Maybe the black sandals.

My husband and I went out to dinner, and
I wanted to change out of my school tshirt. This is a sweater I picked up at the FC Outlet, and I paired it with the jeans I had worn to school.

My new jeans, Curvy Bootcut by Sonoma. I really like these! Comfortable, with some structure. They came from Kohls.
