Have
you lost your hope? Have you given up? What’s next?
Revelations
begins with letters to the seven churches. In Revelation 3, Jesus Himself is
speaking to a church, a family of born again believers in Christ. He points out
that they are useless to Him in their current state, that their wishy-washiness
and lack of commitment are a waste.
Revelation 3:14-2014 And unto the angel of the
church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and
true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;15 I know
thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.16 So
then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out
of my mouth.17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased
with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched,
and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:18 I counsel thee
to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white
raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do
not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.19 As
many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.20 Behold,
I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I
will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
We
must not stop preaching the Word of God, even when we’re told to stop. If you
want to have peace in your heart you have to know that you will never stop
standing up for God’s word.
Romans 1:16
16For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is
the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first,
and also to the Greek.
1.
Repent
2 Chronicles 7:1414 If my people, which are called by my name,
shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked
ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal
their land.
2.
Pray – for ourselves and our hearts to
follow God’s Word and God’s will, for our nation, for our leaders, and for all
others.
1 Timothy 2:1-4 1 I exhort therefore, that, first of
all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for
all men;2 For kings, and for all that are in authority;
that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.3 For
this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;4 Who
will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
3.
Be a living sacrifice, show the world
Jesus through our love and our actions. The world is watching to see what we do
and say.
Romans 12:1-212 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye
present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is
your reasonable service.2 And be not conformed to this
world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove
what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
