Freshwater

Located in the wilds of Wyoming, the name Freshwater was chosen as a Western analogy to Christ. Just as He is the Living Water, and we must have Him to have eternal life, any desert dweller knows the importance of fresh water to life, both for self, and the nourishment of crops or livestock. By taking nourishment in God and His word, we strengthen our own relationship with Him, our faith, and the quality and abundance of our fruitfulness.

Our keystone verse is from Jeremiah, Chapter 17, Verse 8: "For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see whenSave heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit."

The fruit that we speak of is mentioned in Galatians 5:22
"22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."

And the heat could be anything we experience that might test our faith in God; trials and tribulations, relationships, anything that focuses our love and attention anywhere but on Him...

Teacher Togs Part Three

This is one of those I wore and then forgot to take photos of, so I did it after laundry day...Yes, my library/home office does double duty as a laundry drying station and that stack of totes is seasonal clothes with Halloween costume pieces on top!

This is a broomstick skirt (they're back!) from Fashion Crossroads , by Wonderous Art Wear. This beautiful paisley has all kinds of colors, and this time I paired it with a SO top from Kohl's in a greenish blueish greyish color. The top has a cutout in the back, a lace looking panel, so I wore a tank top in a darker shade underneath to make myself more comfortable. I don't think it showed anything it shouldn't, I just tend to be pretty conservative with clothing. It does have that tuck front as well. This is my shorter jean jacket from Fashion Crossroads, by FDJ. I have also paired this skirt with the Liquid Leather jacket from Clara Sun Woo.

This dress is definitely a keeper! From Kohl's, it's a tshirt dress, and I get tons of compliments. Plus it's easy to wear and realy comfy!

The fuzzy maroon sweater is also from Kohls, and no, I did not wear those slides to school with this dress, LOL.

I decided I'd better wear my dressy capris while it was still warm enough outside, so I paired this polka dot swishy long sleeve top from Fashion Crossroads by Andre ( Clara Sun Woo cami) with these fabulous Slim-Sation capris also from FC. The sandals are Croft and Barrow from Kohls.

This top by Umgee probably came from the Fashion Crossroads Outlet, and the capris, which are stretchy and thicker than some of the "beachy" styles you see, and quite nice, are Tribal, also from FC. I have worn this with both my dressy blue sweater from Ross (buttons on the cuff make it a little fancy), and my fuzzy white sweater by Sacred Threads (FC).

Friday this week was jeans and a school tshirt!
