Freshwater

Located in the wilds of Wyoming, the name Freshwater was chosen as a Western analogy to Christ. Just as He is the Living Water, and we must have Him to have eternal life, any desert dweller knows the importance of fresh water to life, both for self, and the nourishment of crops or livestock. By taking nourishment in God and His word, we strengthen our own relationship with Him, our faith, and the quality and abundance of our fruitfulness.

Our keystone verse is from Jeremiah, Chapter 17, Verse 8: "For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see whenSave heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit."

The fruit that we speak of is mentioned in Galatians 5:22
"22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."

And the heat could be anything we experience that might test our faith in God; trials and tribulations, relationships, anything that focuses our love and attention anywhere but on Him...

LaLa was, to put it plainly, the runt of the litter.  She was so much tinier than all the rest of the kittens, even as they grew older, she was just a slender cat.  From the very beginning she was always active and the most adventurous, climbing out of the drawer where they were born, climbing up the sides of the pop up kennel, and generally exploring the world.  She also looked the most like her daddy in coloring, being a beautiful brownish grey tabby.

To lose a beloved pet is a horrible blow to a child.  It's hard no matter what, even if the pet is old and infirm, and there was advance warning, but to have a perfectly healthy kitten, barely 7 months old go to sleep and just not wake up is not only heartbreaking, it's bewildering.  I have four very confused and very devastated children who just want their baby girl back.

How to Travel Abroad Even If You Are a Stupid American:10 Tips to Keep You From Disgracing Yourself or Your Country [Kindle Edition]

This book was wonderful! I really enjoyed reading it. Not only was it chock full of information and great pointers about visiting other countries and how to really enjoy your time there while showing appreciation and respect for the people, the author is entertaining and has lots of great stories about her own travels to use as examples. I highly recommend!
